About the Authors
Eric-Jon Keawe Marlowe is an associate professor in the Department of ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯ Education at ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯β Hawaii. Born in Hawaii (kamaΚ»Δina, not kanaka maoli), his research in Pacific Church history has taken him across Polynesia and into Micronesia. He is a board member and former president of the Mormon Pacific Historical Society. Dr. Marlowe teaches Pacific Church history among his university courses and has published and presented on various religious and historical topics. He received bachelorβs and masterβs degrees from Utah State University and a PhD from ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯.
Clinton D. Christensen is a global acquisitions specialist at the Church History Library in Salt Lake City assigned to collect Church history in the Asia, Philippines, and Pacific areas of the Church. He and his team collected numerous oral histories and several previously uncatalogued documents relating to the Laie Hawaii Temple for its centennial. Many of these oral histories are included in his new book, Stories of the Temple in LΔΚ»ie, HawaiΚ»i. He holds masterβs degrees in English from ΊμΠΣΦ±²₯ (Provo) and in library science from Wayne State University.
