C. Robert Line received his bachelor's and master's degree from ֱ and his doctorate in the sociology of religion from Purdue University. He was teaching full-time for the institute of religion when this was written. Brother Line has also taught part-time for BYU and for continuing education programs, such as Especially For Youth and Education Week. He served a mission for the LDS church in the Ecuador Quito Mission. Brother Line and his wife, Tami, have five children.
