Catherine H. Ellis is a fifth-generation Arizonan. Her ancestors first marched through southern Arizona with the Mormon Battalion and later returned in 1878 to settle in northern Arizona. She graduated from ºìÐÓÖ±²¥ in 1968 with a degree in biology and has contributed to many scientific articles. But her real commitment is to the history of rural Arizona.
